About

Multiplayer Singleplayer is a videogame blog. We talk about videogames.  We’re tired of huge wikipedia-style gaming sites with no personality and too many ads. We can only read so many constantly updated videogame news blogs. We wanted something funny and smart. Maybe something with videos. We couldn’t find it, and so we made it.

Adam Dorsey is a writer and filmmaker originally from Washington state. He previously worked at Nintendo as a gametester, before becoming a video editor for their marketing department. Remember that cool Zelda: Phantom Hourglass TV commercial? That was all Adam. The president of Zelda personally sent him an electronic letter, personally, saying that he truly “got” the game.  After that accomplishment, Adam quit Nintendo and took a job at I Can Has Cheezburger, where he looked at funny cat pictures for 8 hours a day, until he felt they had “sold out to the man.”  He now is mostly unemployed and living as a starving screenwriter in Los Angeles. One day he hopes to be more than just a stereotype.  His favorite game is Super Mario Bros 3.

Curtis Retherford is a writer and improvisor from New York City. Well, originally he’s from Washington State, but now he’s in NYC. Were Curtis to be in some sort of accident in which the bottom half of his body were crushed and thereby rendered unusable,  then he would spend his time playing the following games until such point as the government unplugged his life support machine: Q*Bert, Balloon Fight, Katamari Damacy, Shadow of the Colossus, Half-Life 2, and Tetris. For now, however, Curtis tries to live as a normal person.
